Por while, everything indicates that Apple will present its first open screen iPhone in September, when the company's annual event dedicated to presenting new products for the second half of the year usually takes place.
This mobile phone – currently known as iPhone Fold/Ultra – has been the subject of multiple rumors and, according to the latest information shared on the Chinese social network Weibo, it may be equipped with a lower battery than Apple's next top-of-the-range mobile phone, the iPhone 18 Pro Max.
The Digital Chat Station page says that the foldable iPhone will have two batteries: one of 1,921mAh and one of 2,962mAh. This means that the folding iPhone battery will have a total capacity of 4.883mAh.
As noted by android Headlines website, relying on the rumors that have been shared so far, this means that the foldable iPhone will have a lower battery than the iPhone 18 Pro Max, and the information shared so far indicates that this top-of-the-line will have a 5.235mAh battery in Europe and 5,425mAh in the US (where a version will be marketed only with eSIM).
These rumors are not encouraging for those interested in Apple's first iPhone equipped with a foldable screen but, since it is expected that the phone will have integrated an A20 processor Pro, it is possible that you will have much higher efficiency levels than have been on the company's mobile phones launched so far.
Not all interested parties will be able to purchase the foldable iPhone
The great anticipation around the foldable iPhone makes many Apple fans consider buying it as soon as it hits the market, but a well-known analyst warns that there may not be enough units for all interested parties.
Ming-Chi Kuo says on their social network X page that the release of the foldable iPhone will be marked by the limited number of available units – the result of challenges during the initial stage of production and mass.
Kuo, an analyst known for his Apple-related predictions, notes that the foldable iPhone should only start to be sold officially in the fourth quarter of 2026, with the pre-order period starting later than those of iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max.
As for the price, the analyst believes that the foldable iPhone can cost between 2,300 and 2,500 dollars (2,014 and 2,189 euros) and points out that due to limited quantities, there may be someone who buys the mobile phone for the reseller at a value of 50% to 100% above the official price.
Information circulating on the folding iPhone indicates that the mobile phone will be equipped with an internal 7.76-inch screen and an external 5.4-inch screen, an A20 Pro processor, 12GB RAM memory and a 5.500mAh battery.
