O Iranian Army today warned that it will not allow the reconstruction of US military bases in the Middle East, stating that more than two hundred US installations and positions have suffered damage or were destroyed during the war.
“ We will never allow the bases of the enemy to be rebuilt in the region,” said Iranian Army spokesman, Brigadier General Mohamad Akraminia, according to Fars.
The military maintained that, according to “trustworthy international sources”, more than 228 US military facilities and positions in the region have suffered serious damage or been destroyed.
The Kraminia has also ensured that there are no US bases left in the region capable of carrying out military operations, which forces Washington to supply fuel vessels and troops with supplies from outside the Middle East.
The statements arise after US President Donald Trump confirmed on Friday night new limited-range attacks against Iranian anti-aircraft defense systems, which he described as minor operations.
For their part, Iranian official media reported that two explosions were heard in the Suza area on the island of Qeshm, located in the Strait Strategy of Ormuz, and cited witnesses who claimed that two projectiles hit the island after hearing the overflight of an aircraft.
The new attacks take place in the midst of indirect negotiations between Tehran and Washington, with the mediation of Qatar, to put an end to the war, while the parties maintain the standstill around Ormuz.
Iran guarantees that it has this strategic maritime passage under control and states that Ormuz will remain blocked until the United States accepts the seven conditions to end the war.
Among the Iranian conditions are also the end of the conflict on all fronts, including in Lebanon, the unlocking of Tehran's assets in third countries and the lifting of the US naval siege and the sanctions on oil in the Persian country.
