Lucas and Matheus. Nephew of the singer devastated after his uncle's death

Dafter the sudden death of singer Lucas, musical duo Lucas and Matheus, who lost his life last Saturday after suffering a heart attack in Portugal, his nephew, Matheus Júnior, shared an emotional text on social networks. 

The two were now making a new pair after the death of the artist's brother, Matheus, in 2020. 

The young man recalled how he discovered the sad news and was devastated that he had lost his uncle, who had fulfilled his father's role for several years. 

“Well... now I think I’m a little more ready to say something. My dear uncle, who for a few years just stopped being my uncle and became my father.

In such a short time, we ended up becoming partners from day to day, from stage to life. We were always together. That day, I woke up thinking it was just another normal day, another concert we were gonna do together, party, share a laugh and create a few more moments to keep. But so fast and suddenly, everything changed.

Nobody could talk to you anymore. The heart already felt something was not right and soon after, everything changed. You weren't here anymore. When I heard, it felt like a whole movie was in my head. Five years. Five years we spent together on the stage of life. And then that thought came: “My God... it’s true.” He began by reporting.

“And gradually I went to see all that again. Only this time, knowing there wouldn't be another moment. I learned many things from you that unfortunately I couldn't learn from my father. I learned life lessons, I took a few earfuls, I listened to advice, and mostly I learned to have the strength to face any situation that came before me. Like you said: «Time passes and takes everything.» And today, perhaps for the first time, I understand even more the meaning of those words. I just have to say my most sincere and pure thanks”, he added. 

Matheus Junior thanked the family member for all the special teachings and moments they shared together over the years.

“ Thank you for all the moments we've spent together. For the stages we shared, for the problems we faced, for the laughs, for the conversations and for everything we lived in those five years. But most of all, thank you for allowing me to have what, for me, was a chance to have a second father. Because I considered you one. Life does not warn us when it will be the last time; it simply turns a common moment into a memory for the rest of life. I honestly still don't believe it. And I think it's gonna be a while before the record drops. Maybe it'll take too long. But I know that as long as I'm here, everything we've lived for will remain with me. Until one day, Uncle Lusca. Or rather... ‘Kiss!’ I love you”, he said.
