A bP achieved a net profit of US$12,449 million (about EUR 11,230 million) in the first nine months of the year, an annual increase of 258% due to the increase in oil prices.

In a press release sent today to the London Stock Exchange, the company indicated that pre-tax profit reached 23,799 million dollars (about 21,382 million euros), more 157% than in the nine months of 2025, while total revenues increased by 33.5%, reaching 193,369 million dollars (about 173,736 million euros).

Production costs rose by 33% to USD 25,132 million (about EUR 22,580 million), while operating costs increased by 45.4% to USD 678 million (about EUR 609 million), and distribution and administration costs amounted to USD 14,130 million (about EUR 12,695 million), an increase of 9.2%.

On 30 September, oil’s net debt stood at 13,870 million dollars (about 12,461 million euros), against the $26,054 million (about 23,408 million euros) recorded on the same date as 2025.

Cited in a statement, BP’s Executive President (CEO), Meg O’Neill, admitted that “volatileness and disturbances in trade flows continue to define energy markets”.

The sector, the CEO said, has demonstrated a remarkable adaptability, since refineries have operated close to maximum capacity to compensate for the supply deficit.

Due to the escalation of the conflict in the Middle East, the price of oil has risen considerably in recent months, even exceeding the 114 dollar barrier per barrel.
