Mariah Carey and the epic “All I Want for Christmas Is You” were dethroned from the "Billboard" Hot 100, U.S. chart listing the most popular songs of all time, without gender distinction. The new record, 23 weeks in number 1, now belongs to Ella Langley, with “Choosin’ Texas”.

So far, Carey's record was 22 weeks in number one, after he debuted in this place since 2019. Before, he joined the table in 2000 (and top10 in 2017).

On Instagram, the new record holder published a video, in which she put the description: “23 weeks. Texas forever.”.

“ Let me try to find the words to explain what's going on in my head. I really feel like it's: ‘What?’ Thank you very much. Thank you for loving this song, for listening to it. I really don't know what to say. It's changing my life. It's changing who wrote this song. It's changing my family's life. It doesn't look real. It sounds like a lie. Looks like somebody's gonna show up and say, ‘We were kidding’.”

“Choosin’ Texas” entered the "Billboard" Hot 100 last November, and was co-written by Miranda Lambert, Luke Dick and Joybeth Taylor.
