Mariza presents show of love songs at the festival At times Love

A fadista Mariza presents next year, in Lisbon and Porto, a show with alignment made of love songs, integrated in the Festival At times Love, which happens in February in several Portuguese cities.

According to the organization of the festival, in a statement released today, to the 13th edition, the invitation to star in “one of the concepts that have most marked its history” – “The Songs of Love ...” – was made to Mariza, “who prepares a very special show” to be presented on February 14, at the Colosseum of Porto, and on February 19, at the Colosseum of Recreios, in Lisbon.

Mariza takes on the festival challenge At times Love, after artists like Jorge Palma, Rui Veloso, Santos & Sinners and Sérgio Godinho.

In “The Love Songs of Mariza”, the fadista will “revisit a repertoire built over more than two decades of career, in which love, passion, absence, longing and affections take on multiple forms”.

Mariza edits at the end of this year a new album, “Love”, the first of originals in eight years, “a work that goes through different dimensions and forms of this feeling”.

Four themes have already been released from the new album: “Kisses”, “Disamor”, which includes the participation of Gson, “Love You” and “Home”.

This year the festival, an initiative of the Associated Producers and Blue Locomotiva agencies, presented 16 concerts, of 14 artists and bands, distributed across 15 locations: Amarante, Aveiro, Gondomar, Lagoa, Leiria, Lisbon, Lousã, Ourém, Paredes, Penafiel, Peso da Régua, Porto, Torres Novas, Vale de Cambra and Vila do Conde.

The poster included, among others, Sérgio Godinho, Aurea, Fernando Daniel and Luís Trigacheiro.

Regarding the 2027 edition, the organization states: “New artists, cities and rooms will be announced over the next few weeks, in an edition that again maintains the quality and artistic and geographical diversity that the public recognizes at the festival.”.
