Mel B was heartbroken when he saw an object that is very dear to him in the hands of 28-year-old magician Joel Mawhinney during an episode of “America’s Got Talent”.

It happened on the broadcast that aired on Tuesday, July 14th. As People magazine reports, Joel Mawhinney asked the jurors for various personal belongings, including Mel B's bracelet, which was given to him by former Spice Girls – Melanie C, Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell and Victoria Beckham.

Initially, after his presentation, Joel Mawhinney began to make Howie Mandel's glasses disappear, before borrowing the comedian's phone and having ventured backstage looking for more personal items to do his number.

When she arrived at Mel B's dressing room, where she saw that bracelet, the singer immediately tried to protect her. “No”, exclaimed the artist when the magician tried to take the accessory.

“ It even has its name engraved”, commented Joel Mawhinney, before Mel B explains why the bracelet is so special to you. “It was offered to me by my Spice Girls on my 50th birthday.”

When he returned to the stage, the magician placed Howie Mandel's cell phone, a picture that was in a frame that belonged to Sofia Vergara and also Mel B's bracelet in a closed bag and supposedly broke it all with a hammer.

The judges watched everything in fear of what might happen, especially Mel B who was visibly distressed, as People reports. However, Joel Mawhinney quickly reminded the jury of what he had said early on. “Everything that disappears... must reappear.” And that's what happened in the end.

First, the magician returned the phone to Howie Mandel, then Sofia Vergara came back to see her belongings, which were hidden inside a pillow in her chair, and finally Mel B calmed her heart.

The magician asked the singer to open a small envelope she had hidden inside the red button in front of her, and there was the bracelet. After carefully seeing if the bracelet was even undamaged, Mel B responded: “I am so sorry. How did you do that? I mean, thank God you brought this back safely. It had great sentimental value.”

Joel Mawhinney was highly praised by the jurors, although Howie Mandel noted that his presentation was too long. “I don’t have that ability to concentrate.” Simon Cowell also agreed that the performance “has taken a long time.”.

In turn, Mel B gave the magician the first “yes”. “I love you and I will save you. Yes!” Howie Mandel voted “no, but Simon Cowell and Sofia Vergara voted “yes”. The result led Joel Mawhinney to the next phase.
