Half is already done. How many days of suspension is CR7 left?

Dand according to the non-professional section of the Council of Discipline (CD) of the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF), which today punished the advance of the Saudis of Al Nassr and captain of the team of ‘quinas’ with a suspension of 30 days and a fine of 255 euros, Ronaldo has already served part of this sentence.

In a statement, this disciplinary body reports the discount of a total of 19 days to the penalty applied, by the 10 automatic preventive suspension, from October 1 to 10, and nine non-automatic, from October 11 to today.

In this way, it will not be for disciplinary reasons that Ronaldo will stay out of the call of the selector Jorge Jesus, for the games of 14 and 17 November, in front of Denmark, in Braga, and Wales, in Cardiff, for the Group A4 of the League of Nations, which should be announced the previous Friday, i.e., November 6.

Ronaldo was in a suspension between one and six months and a fine up to a thousand euros, for abandoning the Portuguese team on 30 September in Denmark.

The non-professional section of the FPF’s CD has shown that the charge is fully substantiated and, consequently, that Article 160 of the Disciplinary Regulation (RD) applies, “for once and for the first time (...) by applying the suspension penalty for 30 days and, in turn, the fine imposed at 2,5 days. UC [unit of account], i.e. EUR 255”.

This sentence was mitigated by Ronaldo's absence of disciplinary registration and confession, presented by the advance during the process and which reduced twice the minimum and maximum limits of sanctions applicable to half, to between eight and 45 days of suspension and fine between 1.25 and 2.5 UC [between about 125 and 250 euros].

Cristiano Ronaldo, 41, is the record player of games (with 234) and goals by the Portuguese team (146), having captained the team of 'quinas' in triumphs in the 2016 European Championship and in the 2019 and 2025 editions of the League of Nations.
