At least six people died and 15 were injured, including three police officers, after a shooting in central Krakow in southern Poland. The information is advanced by local media TVN24, which cites the police.
The victims are four women and two men, according to the Krakow Provincial Police.
The Office of the Governor of Small Poland Voivodeship (Małopolska in Polish) confirms the assessment of the victims and states that the injured are receiving medical treatment in several hospitals in Krakow.
The shots were fired from a car in progress and “the perpetrator of the attack was arrested,” authorities also informed. “A man inside a car that entered the market started shooting at people at random. The perpetrator was arrested. There are injured people, including police,” the police said.
