Ua 41-year-old man was arrested by the Judicial Police (JP) on October 1, for the practice of a “crime of sexual abuse of a person incapable of resistance”.
In a statement sent this Tuesday, October 6 to News to Minutes, inspectors reveal that everything happened in the early hours of september 23rd.
The suspect was transporting the victim, a 30-year-old woman, who was drunk and unable to offer resistance when he attacked her.
PJ argues that the man already had a criminal record, having previously been convicted of crimes of an identical nature, by two other identical sexual assaults.
The investigation does not rule out the possibility that the TVDE driver made more victims than these three.
Nevertheless, after the first judicial interrogation was held in Lisbon, the defendant was only subject to measures of coercion prohibiting contact with the victim and periodic presentations in a police station.
