A 64-year-old woman died today following a hit-and-run by a truck on National Road 4 (EN4) near the Industrial Zone of Arcos, in the municipality of Estremoz, Évora district, revealed source of GNR.

Fante do Comando Sub-Regional de Emergência e Proteção Civil do Alentejo Central (Sub-Regional Command for Emergency and Civil Protection of the Central Alentejo) indicated to the agency Lusa that the alert for the accident was given at 3:58 p.m., and the woman was transported to the Basic Emergency Service (SUB) of Estremoz Health Center.
The source of GNR confirmed that the woman eventually died in that health unit.
Six operations were mobilized to the site, according to the sub-regional command, supported by three vehicles, Estremoz Firefighters, the National Institute of Medical Emergency (INEM) and GNR, supported by three vehicles, including an ambulance of Immediate Life Support (SIV) of Estremoz.
