With “40 degrees” of fever, José Mourinho appears before the journalists, after the categorical victory of Real Madrid over Valencia, by 0-3, to point the finger at La Liga, for the “marathon of trips and games” that forced him to do.

O Real Madrid remains unstoppable, and reached, at the end of Saturday night, the eighth consecutive victory, by taking the best over Valencia, in the middle of Mestalla Stadium, by category 0-3, to the ‘balleia’ of the goals marked by Fede Valverde, Arda Guler and Kylian Mbappé, to the passage of 28, 36 and 75 minutes, respectively.

Still, José Mourinho appeared visibly shot down at the press conference that followed the final whistle, and, asked whether he planned to watch the NFL game that will take place in Santiago Bernabéu, between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Atlanta Falcons, at 2:30 p.m. this Sunday, responded to his style.

“ I'm going to the NFL tomorrow if I go from 40 to 39 degrees [of fever], which I'm dead. I'm dead. I'm tired, I have a fever... I am dead, but if I recover, I will”, he said, in statements reproduced by the Spanish newspaper As, before explaining the way he sought to turn to a start of the sport season of 2026/27 below expectations.

“ We never had chaos. We were always quiet. We understand why we lost that game [against Atlético de Madrid, 2-1], we understand where we could improve. We've always had a lot of quiet. I will always fight for people to be balanced in good times ", pointed out.

“ I always tell them that when you win games on a team like Real Madrid, you can't go into joy crazy. Winning games in Real Madrid must be normal. I see a happy locker room with horrible music, loud... But quiet people, because the message is normal, when it comes to winning games”, he added.

“If you want to play this joke, do it to others”

Although weakened, the Portuguese coach did not refrain from pointing the finger at La Liga, following a week ‘crazy’, which began on Sunday, with the victory over Racing Santander, by 0-3, continued on Wednesday, with the triumph over the AEK, for the Champions League, by 2-3, and ended on Saturday, with a new victory, by 0-3, over Valencia.

“ I have to be humble, because they have the power, and I ask them not to do the same to us, because it's... I don't mean it's superhuman, because it's possible to do it, but it's very difficult. If you want to play this joke, do it to others, and leave us alone, after this marathon of trips and games, from Sunday to Saturday, which was too much ", shot.

“ I'm worried because now, if they [the players] stayed with me and my technical team, we'd have a very special attention when it comes to getting them back, but they're going to the selections. These people, now, can't work. These people, now, need to rest, so, then, play with the selections ", completed.

“If one day I am a selector, I will be very strict with the clubs”

Taking precisely the pause for international commitments, the Special One left a new ‘touch’: “I have a feeling that if I am ever a selector, I will be very strict with the clubs. I'll think of myself, of my team, and so I have no face to call anyone, even if it's my friend Carlo.

“ Look, it's Vinicius who's going with Carlo, who should play, and it's Endrick, who, if Carlo puts him on, I appreciate it. It's not Carlo's side that worries me about the situation, but I don't think they're pleased that a player gets hurt by accumulation [of games]. I think they also owe players this professionalism when it comes to getting them back,” he concluded.
