Com the growing demand for electric cars, one of the market areas in which brands bet is the small accessible city dwellers – as is the example of neoclassical Renault Twingo E-Tech.
Dacia is preparing a “brother” – the new Spring – and also the Nissan is developing a model. It should be called Wave and according to CAR Magazine, the prototype was recently seen testing on the roads in Spain.
The image disseminated by that organ shows a vehicle with proportions and dimensions similar to those of Twingo presented at the end of last year – even though its features are considerably different.
Although nothing is officially known, given the similarities and the fact that Nissan is part of the same Renault alliance, it is possible that the AmpR Small platform will be shared.
Moreover, common platforms between models of both brands are common, and the new Nissan Micra is based on the same basis as Renault 5. E-Tech – although the outer garment is distinctive.
For this new Wave – which should be positioned at the entrance of the electric range – a battery in line with the Twingo (27.5 kWh), as well as the 82 hp engine.

This Nissan Wave is anticipated as a neoclassical and it is impossible not to recall the “Pike car” so famous of the Japanese manufacturer in the 1980s.
These were small models, dedicated to the cities, with retro-futuristic designs: “The team further developed the concept “Modern Nostalgia”, which would be the guiding principle in the development of the Be-1, as well as the other Pike car”, can be read on the official Nissan website for the Philippines.
It all began with the Be-1, presented at the Tokyo Hall of 1985 – a compact sedan (with just over three and a half meters long) of two doors and five seats, with a 1.0 litre engine of 987 cubic centimeters capable of debiting 52 hp of power.
Other models would follow within the same concept: the Figaro convertible, the three-port hatchback Pao and the small commercial S-Cargo.
