Nuno Markl: Pictures of the day of the stroke. “He was at risk of not lasting much longer”

Adoing a cleanup on his phone, as explained, Nuno Markl came across photographs that were captured the day he suffered the first stroke, on November 20, 2025. The images have now been highlighted in a post you made on your Instagram page, where you remember this remarkable day.

“I find the photos where, just before the first stroke, Chiclete glues to me as if it was preventing me from going anywhere but, more bizarre, I find out now, nine months later, that the phone took two accidental photos the moment it happened,” he started saying. 

“ I remember I was holding him in my hand in full execution of the so-called number 2, when my left side hung up completely and ended up on the bathroom floor. I suppose in the trouble of the moment, these seemingly meaningless images of products in the sink and closet have been captured. 20 November 2025, 14:50”, specified, speaking of the first two photographs shown in that publication.

“ The following image – also accidental, due to the confusion and uncoordination that I was in – is already in the hospital of San Francisco Xavier, the second to which I went after the Hospital of Cascais”, he said, telling after that girlfriend, Teresa, received at the time, when they were in the hospital, the information that Markl “was in serious danger of not lasting much longer”.

“ By coincidence, yesterday, with Teresa's help, I rebuilt the most confusing part of my memory of that day: in Cascais, when the doctor told her to stay on my left side, so as to force my eyes to go that way (and her eyes still did not move easily). Teresa gave me her hand in possession of some dramatic information that someone at the hospital had given her (and that was forbidden to me): that I was in serious danger of not lasting much longer.”

“All of a sudden there are three accidental photos, of those that we erase without thinking, which are a whole day chronicle, of one state, of a demolished normality from one moment to another. I could have erased them, but I decided not to. Not for any masochistic reason, but because they are part of my history, they are the end of an act, captured in real time”, wrote, finally, Nuno Markl in the same sharing. 

To remember that Nuno Markl suffered two strokes at the end of last year, which led him to stay in the hospital for months. 

The comedian felt bad at home and it was his son, Pedro, who called 911 when he realized that his father had fallen on the bathroom floor and that he was not well. In the hospital days later, Markl suffered the second stroke. 

Despite the difficulties he continues to face because of the sequelae left by the two strokes, still in recovery but already at home, Nuno Markl has managed to overcome some challenges, as recently happened.

Even though he was afraid of disappointment that eventually he could not do lego with one hand, the animator of the “Morning of Commercial” decided to try and managed to start “building the monumental set of Lego dos X-Files”, as he showed Instagram followers this weekend.
