The tip was shared on the page Achieved, which gathers tricks and some grandmother tricks. They suggest an idea that will get you the garlic point to use, and peeled, in just 10 minutes.

Peel garlic in 10 minutes

So you don't need to waste much time and patience on this kitchen task. Put garlic teeth in a cup with warm water and wait 10 minutes. After that time, you'll see that the shell will come out easily and without having to use the knife and have an intense smell on your hands.

One more trick to peel garlic

Chef Glen Powell, author of a popular YouTube channel on recipes and food, showed his followers in a video about how to peel garlic in an efficient and fast way, yet warns: be very careful with handling the knife! “Like any cutting technique you will learn, there is a right way to perform it.”.

To peel the garlic, first it is necessary to take a fine, sharp knife, stick it in the garlic and gently spin until the bark is released from the tooth. “The garlic will not always come out perfect in its entirety, but it is easy to remove the shell that remains,” he explains.

Besides, the technique requires another trick. Before starting peeling, it is necessary to cut the bulb from the garlic root. “The garlic tooth must be cut off from the bulb, but it must not be removed.”.

According to the chef, this is essential for the garlic tooth to loosen easily. When you start peeling it, you also have to turn the garlic upside down and stick the knife right in the middle of the tooth, right in that position.

” This technique will work 99% of the time, and it is definitely easier than peeling garlic in the traditional way, especially when it needs to peel large quantities”, the chef recommended.
