It is false that “our taxes are supporting people who play cards in a garden at 10:45 because the video released by André Ventura was recorded in a municipal park in Luxembourg and not in Portugal.

YEAH false that “our taxes are supporting people who play cards in a garden at 10:45,” because the video released by André Ventura was recorded in a municipal park in Luxembourg and not in Portugal.
+++ Claim: “Our taxes serve to support guys playing cards on working days and working hours” +++
On Sunday, October 11, André Ventura denounced on various social networks that “our taxes are not enough to lower fuel prices because we are supporting people who play cards in a garden at 10:45 a.m.”: https://archive.ph/YvbDF, https://archive.ph/NO1sR and https://archive.ph/tq5n6.
In the publications with thousands of tastes and shares, which already add up to more than 780,000 views, the president of Aça attached a video that says to show “types playing cards on working days and working hours”, allegedly to the “our taxes” account and questions whether “is this the immigration we want to have... and sustain?”
The images, captured in an unidentified green zone, show several people in a leisure environment in a wooded area and grasslands, especially black men, and focus on a group that seems to be playing cards, but there is no element to indicate that it is in Portugal, although most comments interpret it.
However, several users of X, former Twitter, commented that they are images recorded in Germany, with guesses like Englischer Garten, a park in Munich (https://archive.ph/sHuZC), the amphitheater of Treveris (https://archive.ph/bskf7) or Tiergarten Park in Berlin (https://archive.ph/AVpoK).
On Facebook, “Englischer Garten or surroundings” was also pointed out, but some have other suggestions, such as Parc de l’Orangerie, in Strasbourg, although none of the users have actually demonstrated the exact location (it was not possible to archive these comments).
+++ Facts: video was recorded in an urban park in Luxembourg +++
Lusa Verifica questioned the Cávez communication office about the origin of the video shared by André Ventura, namely whether it was recorded by itself or by some Cávez leader or sympathizer, but has not yet been answered.
The Aquida also did not answer questions about the date of the images, the exact location and whether it could provide the original video, as well as what information it has about the alleged relationship of those people with the taxes collected in Portugal.
Lusa tried to identify the origin of the video on social networks, but reverse searches by various frames, including with automatic removal of the caption that was placed on the images, only detected André Ventura's publications.
Some X users asked Grok, the artificial intelligence assistant on that network, but the answers were useless: “It is not possible to confirm the exact location only with the video. There are no identifiable ‘landmarks’ that clearly point to Portugal or Tiergarten in Berlin.”
Grok concludes that “the superimposed text is in Portuguese and the post fits it in the context of taxes and immigration in Portugal, but the real origin is undetermined without more data” (https://archive.ph/SCS7r and https://archive.ph/Q6UBF).
Lusa also verified whether the scenario in the video was correct with any of the guesses already mentioned in the networks, but quickly concluded that it was not, so it was necessary to try to geolocate that space through further reverse searches.
In one of the surveys, Google suggested the green space around the Pamplona-Iruña Citadel in Navarra, Spain, but despite the similarities it was also a false positive, because there are different elements: https://archive.ph/TwJav and https://archive.ph/O0dKP.
However, the analysis of the “visual matches” suggested by Google Lens allowed us to detect a compatible image (https://archive.ph/EzRYh) in Luxembourg Municipal Park, also known as Édouard André Park, in particular near Reduta Lambert, an old military structure located in a parcel also known as Edmond Klein Park: https://archive.ph/AJNGq.
This geolocation has been confirmed through Google Street View, where it is easily possible to locate a location near that of the images: https://archive.ph/08Pvd.
In other words, the video was not recorded in Portugal and neither Cávez nor André Ventura published or provided any information that would allow us to date the images, to know the origin of the people filmed, namely whether they are European citizens, immigrants, asylum seekers or refugees, or what their professional situation is, whether they work shifts or whether they were off duty, for example.
+++ Assessment Lusa Verifies: False +++
The president of Cávez denounced that “our taxes are supporting people who play cards in a garden at 10:45 a.m.”, but the video released by André Ventura, already with more than 780,000 views, was recorded in a Luxembourg garden and does not include any verified information about the origin and professional activity of the target.
