“At the end of July, late payments by public authorities amounted to EUR 706.1 million, which represents an increase of EUR 140,7 million compared to the previous month,” revealed the document released today by the Budgetary Authority (former DGO-General Budget Directive).
The July synthesis had to be unable to calculate the annual variation, since the definition of late payments was changed in June, resulting in a series break.
For the monthly variation, the health area contributed mainly (+168 million euros). This increase was offset by decreases in the Regional Administration (EUR 21,3 million) and Local Government (EUR 7,1 million).
