Athe parliamentary elections were won by the United Russia party, which supports Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“ I believe that there was undoubtedly a certain contribution (...) Since Yábloko did not participate in the final phase of the campaign, I suppose we should speak well of them or not say anything,” said Alexéi Nechaev at a press conference where he commented on the election results.

Nechaev, quoted by the Russian agencies, also thanked the Russian emigrants for their support.

Independent polls at the mouth of the polls abroad show that the New People is the most voted force of the Russians in exile in most countries where these surveys were conducted.

“ We are grateful to everyone who voted for us,” he said.

According to figures released today by the Russian electoral authorities, the party supporting the regime of President Vladimir Putin, Russia United (UK), revalidated the parliamentary majority with a record number of at least 355 of 450 Members.

The previous record was 343 deputies and had been reached by the UK in 2016, according to the French agency AFP.

In a first reaction, the Kremlin spokesman, Dmitri Peskov, considered that the results “show an exceptional level of cohesion of Russian society around” Putin.

The results of more than 95% of the voting assemblies attributed to the UK around 58% of the votes for the 225 seats distributed on party lists, according to the Central Election Commission.
