Portimonese and Torreense stall without goals at the premiere of João Nuno

Portimonese and Torreense tied today to zero, in a game of the ninth journey of the II Portuguese football league that marked João Nuno's debut in technical command of Torres Vedras' team.

In a Portimão Municipal Stadium with 902 viewers, the two teams failed to unlock the ‘null’.

Despite having been the Torreense to get in better, with more possession of the ball and greater attacking momentum, the first chance of danger was for the home team.

At the passing of the 20th minute, Tiago Mamede shot hard at the entrance of the area, Lucas Paes had to stretch out, but the ball came out tearing the pole.

Shortly thereafter, Samy provoked a new threat. The central defense of the Portimonense risked a shot almost from the midfield, trying to surprise the goalkeeper of Torreense, who showed attention.

On the side of the team of Torres Vedras, the best chance of the first part appeared at minute 33, when João Marques, in the front zone, tried to aim for the goal of the Portimonense, with the ball coming out little by side.

In the second half, it was the Portimonese to ‘get in the game’. The Algarves were even close to inaugurating the marker at 50 minutes, in a very dangerous heading of João Casimiro, after a corner hit on the right.

In the final line, the match cheered up, with opportunities for both sides, but the ‘null’ was not undone. With this tie, the Torreense follows in the 12th position, with 10 points, while the Portimonese is ninth, with 11.
