Portuguese sets fire to the house and puts several lives at risk in England

A 60-year-old Portuguese was arrested in the UK for suspicion of setting fire to a residence in Spalding, putting people at risk, including a Portuguese citizen.

U60-year-old Portuguese is on trial in the UK for setting fire to a house in Spalding, Lincolnshire, endangering several people.

 

According to BBC, Fernando Martins, 60 years old, pleaded guilty on Wednesday, October 7, at the Lincoln Crown Court of the criminal arson charge. Portuguese admitted to having acted recklessly and, because of this, put lives at risk.

The incident happened precisely a month ago, on September 7, and even injured a Portuguese citizen named Fernando Garcia.

The suspect was arrested at the time and kept in protective custody. On November 20th, you'll know your future.

Defense attorney Rebecca Freitas said the client is being evaluated by a psychiatrist. The goal is to receive treatment in the area of mental health, if convicted.

Although the judge, Catarina Sjolin-Knight, postponed the reading of the sentence for next month, waiting for an additional report on the case, warned Portuguese that what he did “is a serious matter”.

“ Before being convicted or not, we need to know more about you, about the risk it represents in the future, because setting fire is something very dangerous ", shot.
