Nobel Prizes
Nobel Prizes were born of the will of Swedish chemist, engineer and industrialist Alfred Nobel to donate his immense fortune to the recognition of personalities who served humanity.
The inventor of dynamite exhibited this wish in a will written in Paris in 1895, a year before his death. The awards were first awarded in 1901.
The awards ceremony will take place on December 10, which marks the anniversary of Alfred Nobel's death.
