Fhigh a few days for the premiere of new Bentley Torcal – an SUV that is the first 100 percent electric model of the historic British brand.

Over the past few months, some details have been revealed before the official debut scheduled for september 23. It is now known that this will be the most powerful Bentley production ever.

Without going into details, the manufacturer also promises that it is his model with the fastest acceleration in history, having a performance thought “to stay within the limits of comfort”. As a reference point, Continental GT Speed ranges from 0 to 100 km/h in less than three and a half seconds, with a V8 combustion engine in a hybrid system that debits 782 hp.

It is also known that the Torcal has leather and wood as central elements in the passenger compartment, along with new materials, finishes and textures. Promise merino wool and veneer Mulliner's Sunburst or aluminum. The interior will be proposed in six colors.

The Curation Engine allows you to choose between different on-board experiences, influencing the dynamic character of the car through elements such as motorization or suspension. There are Experience Modes, which control sensory aspects such as lighting and sound. Refresh Mode is exclusive to Torcal, providing greater circulation of fresh air, brighter lighting and a lighter environment – the idea being “to combat fatigue and improve attention”.

There's no shortage of iconic floating diamond grid, but “reimagined for a new generation”, according to Bentley. And even though it's electric, one is promised sound identity of the engine elaborated “by trained musicians” with resources to real instruments.

Bentley Torcal reinvents the sound of electric cars

The first electric Bentley will have sound, unlike most electric cars. But there are no solutions to mimic the noise of combustion or the sound capture and amplification of electric motors as other brands.
