O pakistani Prime Minister Shebaz Sharif today strongly condemned the “dodious” attack on Yemen’s Huthis against King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, which caused at least 12 deaths and 309 wounded.
“ Attacks targeting civilians and key infrastructure are totally unacceptable and constitute a serious threat to regional peace and stability,” Sharif said in a message published on social network X.
“ Such acts of violence, which constitute a flagrant violation of international law, must cease immediately,” he added, reaffirming Pakistan’s “unwavering commitment to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Saudi Arabia.”.
Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, as well as Turkey, are linked by a mutual defense pact, signed in August at Mecca, one of the most sacred cities in Islam.
The Saudi Arabia-led military coalition, in support of the internationally recognized Yemeni government, accused the pro-Iranian Huthis fighters, denouncing “a war crime” to which it will respond “firmly”.
