The first fully electric GTI entered pre-sale in Germany this Wednesday (october 7) from €39,995 – top of the range.

Progressive direction with specific tuning, adaptive sports suspension and electronic blocking of the transverse differential of the front axle are some of the serial features of this automobile, which has 19-inch light alloy rims.
In cosmetic terms, iD. Polo GTI is identified as a GTI in various ways: there is, for example, a bottom grid in honeycomb and a red strip on the front, as well as a split spoiler at the end of the roof and the GTI logo applied on the side and back packaging.
Inside, the vehicle is distinguished by top-of-the-line sports seats with a heavy standard and the multi-function sports steering wheel with which it has a red marking at 12 o'clock. There are contrasting red seams and a GTI button on the steering wheel that activates this driving mode – including a GTI sound developed in specific and a graphical and chromatic environment dedicated to the passenger compartment.
On request, the 10.25-inch Digital Cockpit and the 12.9-inch touch screen for infoentertainment can display graphics that refer to the latest versions of the first generation VW Golf – not only instrumentation, but also music playback.
Despite his sporting personality, iD. Polo GTI does not stop thinking about functionality and suitability for everyday life with its interior space: the trunk takes 441 liters (in the combustion model is the 351 liters), but it can reach 1,240 liters of the back seats are hit. It is also possible to transport two electric bicycles on a stand.
Among the options, there is a Harman Kardon sound system, panoramic opening roof, front seats electrically adjustable on 12 tracks and with massage function, as well as a premium 19-inch sports tyre and the new generation of the Connected Travel driving assistance system (capable of detecting red traffic lights, for example).
