O secretary-General of the PCP today considered that the Prime Minister “has skills of dancer”, especially in the “turns to three”, between PSD, PS and Enough, but Luís Montenegro refused and said there was “no way” for the dance.
The question surrounding the dance gifts arose in the fortnightly debate between Paulo Raimundo and Luís Montenegro, regarding the content of the proposal of the State Budget Government for 2027.
In his speech, the Secretary-General of the CFP accused the Prime Minister of having presented a budget that disprotects families from rising cost of living, while economic groups will benefit from tax reductions, tax benefits and more income.
The Prime Minister has argued that, since 2024, workers' wages have increased by 15% in net terms, corresponding to two more wages. And he advocated that in 920 days he is in office in the leadership of the government “there was not a single tax increase”.
The general secretary of the PCP heard the argument of the executive leader and replied, using the irony: “The Prime Minister is indeed a dancer.”.
“ This is a turn, turn to the Arrive and approve with the Arrive the law of evictions; turn to the PS and approve with the PS this Budget which is a freight to the capital and is a disgrace to the country. While we're here at this dance, there's a bill left for those who pay the prom: Workers, youth, small businessmen, pensioners”.
Right after that, the Prime Minister fought back: “If there is something I have no way to dance to.”.
