O market for affordable electric city cars is becoming increasingly competitive and suzuki should be one of the next manufacturers to join the offer list – and already in 2027.
On the table, is the production version of Vision e-Sky, who in Europe would have rivals like the new Renault Twingo E-Tech and the future Dacia Spring “first” of the French model. It would be a five-door model which, according to Autocar, should have five doors and prices just above EUR 22 thousand.
To that publication, UK brand director David Kateley pointed out: “The electric segment A is of vital importance. It’s an entry into a different segment for us and I’m very excited about the perspectives.”.
Although there are no official details, the same Autocar writes that this suzuki's small electric can have a battery with capacity around 29 kWh and a range of 200 km – meeting what is seen in this segment of accessible electrics.
The Vision e-Sky, presented as concept car, is 3,395 mm long, 1,475 mm wide and 1,625 mm high. It pointed to an autonomy of 270 km.
It features a unique design for the brand, anticipating a 100 percent electric production model “that meets the needs of customers who regularly use a mini-car as a daily means of transport”.
The front is minimalist, having a LED light bar almost all the width that unites the main headlamps. The bumper is of large dimensions and, laterally, are built-in door handles and a crease that seems to merge with the wheel holes.
