A head of diplomacy of the European Union (EU), Kaja Kallas, today considered in Lisbon that Russia is not interested in peace and defended the need for all 27 to remain united in the defence of Ukraine.
“Russia is not interested in peace,” commented the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy after a meeting with Foreign Minister Paulo Rangel, stating that at least 45 people died this week in Russian attacks.
Asked about the absence of the EU from the Ukraine negotiations scheduled for next week in Abu Dhabi, Kaja Kallas said: ‘Russia does not want us at the table’.
The High Representative defended the need for Member States to “hold together” and “not speak to different voices”.
