EDP Unions
Othe unions representing EDP workers want more rights in the Collective Labor Agreement (ACT), highlighting the valorization of professional careers, according to a statement.
In the note, the Fiequimetal – Interunion Federation of Metal Industries, Chemistry, Electrical, Pharmaceuticals, Cellulose, Paper, Graphics, Press, Energy and Mines, which aggregates several unions of EDP, recalled that the company’s administration “improved some points that had included in the complaint” of the ACT, but argued that “it can go further, until the next plenary negotiating meeting”.
Among the points addressed by the trade union structures, the Fiequimetal “extends the appreciation of professional careers, so that workers can reach the top of their career in more favorable conditions than those in the ACT 2014”.
He also pointed out the “special working conditions”, such as shifts, supplementary work, availability, compensatory rest”, benefits and supplements, including the benefit of energy and study allowance for descendants, as well as other subjects (discipline regulation, mobility or trade union times), which were discussed at a plenary meeting on Wednesday.
This meeting was preceded by a new round of bilateral meetings between Fiequimetal and EDP.
“There is room to safeguard more rights for workers”, highlighted the trade union structure.
