O Sporting B today imposed on Vizela the first home defeat in this edition of the II Portuguese football league, winning 2-0 on the seventh day, and rising to second place.
Mauro Couto, at 29 minutes, and Paulo Cardoso, at 45+1, scored the visitors' goals, which added 15 points, to one of the leader Lusitânia de Lourosa, while the minhotos provisionally maintained the sixth position, with 11.
In a meeting marked by successive absences and interruptions, the formation ‘leonine’ created the best opportunities before the break, facing a Vizela with difficulties to overcome the opposing defensive organization.
Rafael Nel gave the first warning at six minutes, but Antonio Gomís left the poles and stopped the goal. At the age of 18, Angel Bastunov hit the goalpost of Sporting B, in a bid already invalidated out of play.
The ascent of the visitors translated into the marker at 29 minutes, when Samuel Justo explored the space and watched Mauro Couto, who inaugurated the marker.
Gomís again denied the goal to Rafael Nel, at 33, and Micael Sanhá shot near the target, at 37, before Paulo Cardoso increased the advantage in the first minute of compensation, after passing from Nel to the left corridor.
On the return of the resorts, Rafael Nel again wasted an opportunity, at 59 minutes, trying a ‘hat’, unsuccessfully.
At 64, referee Flávio Jesus cancelled a penalti initially in favour of Sporting B, also removing the yellow card from Jean-Pierre Rhyner.
Vizela intensified the pressure and was close to reducing by Luis Mina, at 68 minutes, and Miguel Tavares, at 70, but Francisco Silva responded with two defenses that preserved the leonina advantage.
Despite the reaction of the hosts, Sporting B again had a clear opportunity at 77 minutes, when Salvador Blopa failed the deserted goal.
Play played at Vizela Football Club Stadium.
