ANDm reported, the Iranian ideological army indicated that the supertanker “tried to cross a restricted zone south of the Strait of Ormuz and suffered an explosion after colliding with a naval mine.”.
The Iranian military body also indicated that “attempts to control the fire were fruitless and the whole tanker was encased in flames.”.
Iran also stressed that “a prior warning had been made about the danger of illegal crossing”.
“The Revolutionary Guard Navy firmly declares that the Ormuz Strait is closed and remains under our intelligent control,” he added.
On Sunday, the Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned this as an attack on the vessel ‘El Gaia’ off the coast of Oman.
On board the ship, according to information, 14 Indian crewmen traveled, thirteen of which have already been rescued.
“The rescue operations of the missing Indian citizen continue,” with the support of the Oman authorities, New Delhi said.
The Indian Government took the opportunity to call for an “immediate detachment of tension” and the opening of a “way of dialogue and diplomacy” to “bring peace to the region”.
It also condemned the “acceptable attacks” against commercial ships and civilian targets.
Iran blocked the Strait of Ormuz after the start of the war on 28 February and converted the action into the main pressure measure in the conflict with the United States and Israel.
The Islamic Republic also insists on charging fees for navigation, safety and environment services to ships passing through the strait, something that the United States opposes.
In recent days, there has been an exchange of attacks on oil tankers between Iran and the United States in the context of the dispute for the control of the maritime route, which is essential for the world trade in oil, gas and other raw materials.
