O Tottenham achieved the second consecutive victory in the English Football League today, winning in his visit to Chelsea (2–0) on the eighth journey, breaking an absence of three and a half years without triumphs over the London rival.

The ‘spurs’ advanced at 77 minutes, when the Belgian goalkeeper Mike Penders swerved the ball with his fist towards the goal itself, after a corner on the left of the Portuguese average Mateus Fernandes, and extended distances to 87, in a shot away from the French Mathys Tel.

In the middle, at 80 minutes, Chelsea was still in numerical inferiority due to the expulsion with Cole Palmer's double yellow card.

The Portuguese Pedro Neto and Geovany Quenda, in the debut of the title, played at first by world champions, while Mateus Fernandes was a totalist in visitors, who came from six consecutive defeats in the London derby and imposed themselves on the city rival for the first time since February 2023.

In Stamford Bridge, where the ‘blues’ were undefeated since May, the ‘spurs’ had not won for eight and a half years and had only triumphed in one of the 42 previous trips in the various competitions – 36 in the championship.

The Tottenham temporarily rose to 12th place and has nine points, against the Chelsea 13, which is, for now, fourth ranked and failed the third successive victory, wasting the chance to shorten distances to the top.

Hours before the derby, the Arsenal champion equaled Manchester City in front of the Premier League by winning the Everton (2–0) home and capitalizing on the first defeat of the Citizens, defeated in the visit to the Aston Villa (2–1).

Ezri Konsa (seven minutes) and Brazilian Gabriel Magalhães (68), both central defenses, secured the third triumph followed by the ‘gunners’, who scored for the first time at the 13th game this season in the execution of swings, so decisive for the English title won in 2025/26.

A ‘bis’ from Senegalese Nicolas Jackson (six and 60 minutes) forwarded Manchester City's departure from Aston Villa, among a goal of the Norwegian Erling Haaland (52), the best scorer of the race, with nine.

Portuguese captain Reuben Dias was a totalist for the ‘citizens’, who were embezzled from the Luso Matheus Nunes due to injury, and had begun the Premier League with seven triumphs in other journeys, taking the same 21 points of the Arsenal, but better difference of goals.

Victorious over Manchester City for the third consecutive time, the Aston Villa reached the second triumph followed and the fourth game without losing to the championship, having risen to the sixth position, with 11 points, one above Everton, ninth, and three more than Fulham, 13th and now with two hits in a row.

A goal by the Norwegian Oscar Bobb (80 minutes) secured the victory of the ‘cottages’ on the Coventry ground (1-0), which continues in a demotion zone, in the 19th and penultimate position, with six points.
