O minister of Justice of the United States, Todd Blanche (in the image), accepted the resignations of several senior positions, including his deputy in charge of civil rights and a prosecutor in charge of an investigation into personalities accused by Donald Trump of conspiring against the President of the United States.

Blanche, Donald Trump's former personal lawyer, announced on Thursday on social network X that she had accepted the resignation of Deputy Justice Minister Harmeet Dhillon.

In this capacity, the person responsible was directly involved in the ministry’s failed attempts to obtain lists of voters from about thirty states. But in her letter of resignation, quoted by the American media, she states that she presented that missive in October and agreed to remain in office until the crucial midterm elections that took place on Tuesday and whose results turned out to be a defeat for Donald Trump's Republicans.

Blanche also made public today the resignations of John Eisenberg, responsible for the national security division of the ministry, and the federal prosecutor of the South Florida District (southeast), Jason Reding Quinones.

The latter was, in particular, responsible for investigating the possible involvement of former heads of information services under the Democratic Presidencies of Obama and Biden, in order to remove Donald Trump from power, he said.

Since Donald Trump's return to the White House in January 2025, several prosecutors have been fired for not accusing personalities who are considered targets of his revenge and who see as enemies. The same happened again in April with James Comey, the former FBI director, the federal police, accused of threatening “the life and physical integrity” of the president, following a photo of shells published on social networks in May 2025 and interpreted by the Trump administration as a “threat”.
