“Twe know that the corrupt FBI (federal investigation agency) of Joe Biden (former Democratic President) did not do what it should in relation to the lunatic who shot me in Butler, Pennsylvania ", accused Trump on the Social Truth platform.

Trump said that when he took power on January 20, 2025, most of the information about the attack “had disappeared, was tampered with, corrupted or simply had been lost.”.

“ All this was a conspiracy of the Democrats to get me out of the elections, which failed”, he accused.

The then FBI director Christopher Wray should “pay the consequences for the way he conducted this assassination attempt,” he said.

During an outdoor election rally in Butler on July 13, 2024, Trump, then Republican presidential candidate, was shot by 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks who opened fire from the roof of a nearby building.

One of the shots grazed the ear of the then Republican candidate.

In the attack died Corey Comperatore, a rally viewer, and Crooks was shot down by a Secret Service sniper.

The federal investigation concluded that Crooks acted alone, although his motivation was not conclusively established.

There is no public evidence that the Democratic Party has orchestrated or had prior knowledge of the attack.

As the mid-term elections of November 3, in which the current Republican majority in Congress is at stake, Trump's rhetoric against the Democratic opposition has become more aggressive.
