Cigor Terejov, President of the Kharkiv City Council, was the leader of the Europa Press news agency, lamented the death of five people in the attacks on the Kiev and Slobodski districts, which had already been the subject of Russian attacks in recent days.
In a balance sheet published on their social networks, the military governor of this region, Oleg Sinegubov, raised the number of wounded to 53, of which about 30 had to be hospitalized.
“The destruction is considerable,” warned Sinegubov, who explained that Russian forces launched three guided bombs, which damaged dozens of residential buildings and an industrial zone, with a total area affected by fires that “ascended to almost 15,000 square meters.”.
The governor explained that emergency services continue to carry out rescue operations and did not rule out the possibility of more people being trapped among the rubble.
Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenski today also denounced a Russian attack on a civil ship carrying wheat while sailing in international waters of the Black Sea, which he considered to be “a horrendous attack with two drones” against a vessel that “belongs to Turkey”.
Zelenski accused Russia of choosing “systematically for the terror and sinking of civilian ships instead of normal shipping,” and added that the captain of the attacked ship died, whose crew was mostly originally from India and Azerbaijan, and 11 crewmen were rescued.
The Ukrainian President also acknowledged the proposals that many other countries have put forward to ensure security and free movement across the Black Sea and again stressed that “pressure is needed to restore global food security”.
