“Ithis offers us, and especially our companies, a platform for collaboration. We are talking about joint production,” said Finnish President Alexander Stubb during a press conference.

“This could mean, for example, that Ukraine has certain drone models that it would like to produce in Finland, where it could possibly be done more efficiently and even at a lower cost,” he added, stating that this would be at the discretion of the companies.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had presented the idea of such an agreement to Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo in early May in Armenia.

The agreement was signed by Finnish President Alexander Stubb and Zelensky in New York on the margins of the UN General Assembly.
