“ A european football community is mourning the loss of the advanced Tenerife Jesús de Miguel Alameda. We extend our deepest condolences to your family, friends and teammates, at this incredibly difficult time. For his memory, a minute of silence will be kept in all UEFA games this week,” the agency said.

Jesús de Miguel died this morning in the hospital where he was hospitalized, following a violent clash with the opposing goalkeeper, Jesús Owono, in the Monday match between Tenerife and Andorra, of the Spanish II League.

Near the final moments of the meeting and when it was isolated, the advance was hit with violence by the counter goalkeeper, who left the goal and advanced to the midfield line in the bidding dispute.

In the bid, Jesús de Miguel fell immediately and, moments later, went into cardiorespiratory arrest, which was still reversed, but in the early hours Tenerife reported that the neurological situation had worsened and in the morning reported death.

This week, UEFA has been playing the Champions League, Europe League, Conference League and Youth League, among others.
