Critified by some, speed radars are essential tools in the fight against road accidents and the mission of making roads safer, discouraging drivers to move too fast on the roads.
And apparently, one of the most fined in Europe in 2025 is located on the Iberian Peninsula – more specifically in km 326 of the A7 motorway in the Valencia region. He was responsible for registering 90,766 infringements, according to the Association of Associated European Motorists (AEA).
Write El País that this will have been one of the most fined radars in Europe over 2025 – surpassing one installed in Rome (Italy) which had registered more than 204,000 transgressions in the past although in 2025 it was left by 68,000. In the Netherlands, a device had caught 111,000 infractions in 2024, but last year it was just over 48,000.
In Portugal, 460,672 speeding offences were recorded in all by the National Speed Control System (SINCRO) integrated radars. We didn't find any specific data on a specific radar/local. According to Lusa, in ten years of the system, 3,611,645 cases of excess speed were registered, Lusa reported at the beginning of the month.
