O coach Vasco Matos today expressed confidence that Estoril Praia will resume the Portuguese League of soccer with another spirit and achieve the first triumph in the competition, in front of the Academic of Viseu, on the eighth day.
“It would have been better to go to this stop with more points, but the team worked well and realized some dynamics that need to be consolidated. The group worked well and we will give good answer already on Saturday ", said the coach, in press conference.
In anticipation of the meeting, Vasco Matos admitted that, psychologically, the team felt a lot of defeat in front of Casa Pia (1-2), on the seventh day, and that this served as the basis for what was done in the three weeks of the I League's stop.
“ We felt that during some games the psychological part had a great influence and we worked it out. We want to unlock this to return to victories. We were exhausted, we all wanted to give answers and it was important to have these weeks to understand what needed to be worked and developed. We just got out of this together and we have to have union to go around ", highlighted the technician.
As for the Scholar of Viseu, opponent of this round, the coach ‘canary’ stressed that it is one of the good teams of the I League and praised the path made by the Beirons in the first days.
“It’s a team that is making a good championship, confident, close to the identity of their coach. On our side, we have to grow and improve. If that happens, we are closer to the three points ", concluded Vasco Matos.
The Estoril Praia, 18th and last ranked, with two points, visit on Saturday the Academic of Viseu, seventh, with 11, in the Municipal Stadium of Fontelo, in Viseu, from 20:30, in a game that will have the arbitration of Cláudio Pereira, of the association of Aveiro.
