O president of Cávez, André Ventura, confessed that, in his view, Flávio Bolsonaro “should not have fled” from Brazil, after he was defeated in the second round of presidential elections, which dictated the victory of the current head of state, Lula da Silva. Although hesitant, the MP said that if he were the Prime Minister of Portugal, he would not give him asylum for lack of “conditions”.

“ I'm screwed because we're live. [...] Brazilians who live here will not like what I will say”, joked, in front of a set of journalists from CNN Portugal, this Thursday afternoon.

“I don't think Flavio should have run away and shouldn't have run away. [...] I know Flávio Bolsonaro, like Eduardo and like his father. I'd say, separating André from the Portuguese political holder, there are no conditions to [o] maintain in Portugal, in a country with these conditions, in this legislation and within the framework of the European Union”, he replied, despite regretting “all that this could entail suffering and pain – for him and the family”.

“ I do not like to be disloyal; I am a loyal person and friend of my friends ", added.

In this line, Ventura said that “i would advise you to return to Brazil, face justice and succeed in your country, explaining for it.

“If I did what Flavius did, what I would like is for a leader in another country to tell me: ‘André, you must come back. If you went against the system and wanted to face it, now you have to face it”, he explained.

As for allegations of fraud in suffrage, the leader of the Aquida considered that “there are things that were strange, namely an extension of the time that was decided by the Supreme Court”, even though he granted “that it was requested by both candidates and only 34,000 votes arrived later“.

“ I think there may have been, but I'm not sure, because I'm not there. I have a habit of not being involved in other people's political lives; we already have our own. On ours it would have a clear position and it has always been to respect electoral results – I think it should be so, unless there is clear evidence of fraud, and I hope they would do the same,” he said.

And he added: “It makes me strange that, in a first round, one candidate is ahead and the other candidate is four million votes, which never happened in Brazilian history. All the other candidates who had these million votes declared support for the candidate who won [in the first round], but who won [in the second round] was the other candidate, who did not have the support of any of them.”

It should be noted that this analysis is not factual, taking into account that Flávio Bolsonaro received the support of Augusto Cury (Avante), Clariana Baron (DC), Romeo Zema (NOVO), Wilson Grassi (Democrata) and Ronaldo Caiado (PSD), while Lula da Silva received the help of Edmilson Costa (PCB), Hertz Dias (PSTU) and Samara Martins (UP). Rui Costa Pimenta (PCO) said he would vote null and Renan Santos (Mission) gave the voters freedom to choose who they preferred.

Note that the defeated conservative candidate, Flávio Bolsonaro, arrived in the United States on Wednesday, refusing to recognize the result of the vote. The day before he left the country, he had published a video in which he guaranteed that he would never leave Brazil and that he would deliver the passports to the police authorities.

In a long missive, the son of former President Jair Bolsonaro, an ally of Donald Trump, denounced “election fraud” and claimed to want to lead the opposition from the north american territory. In Brazil, it is being investigated for crimes such as corruption and money laundering.

In yesterday’s letter, Flavio initially assumed himself as “real president of Brazil“, version that was soon changed to “true president“. In a third publication, it appeared as “leader of Brazil“.

Faced with the allegations of fraud, the President of the Superior Electoral Court (TSE), Kassio Nunes Marques, ensured that the suffrage took place “within the more absolute normality and with respect to legal and constitutional dictates“.

It should be noted that Lula da Silva won the elections with about 51.7% and will hold the fourth presidential term from the beginning of next year. In addition to having consecrated the first president in the history of Brazil to be elected on four different occasions, he managed to reverse, in an unprecedented way, the disadvantage of the first round, in which he positioned himself in second place, behind Jair Bolsonaro's son.

Bolsonaro (running) declares himself “elect president”, then backs: “Leader”

Flávio Bolsonaro issued a statement in which the “true elected president” of Brazil is declared, speaks in witch hunt and spoke of his father, Jair Bolsonaro, who is “shut, arrested and censored”. Less than an hour later, he edited the letter, replacing the formulation “true elected president” for “true president” and, finally, for “leader”.
