Zulmira Garrido lived dream days in a very popular destination in Europe: Sardinia. The commentator of the “Red Passeira”, SIC Caras, went to this Italian island in the company of a friend but the trip back to Portugal was marked by the worst reasons.
On social networks, socialite said that Sardinia's flight to Barcelona, where it would stop, caught an “unexpected storm”, leading to its being diverted to Girona. But the moments of panic aboard the plane, where several people “wept and prayed”, led her to think that something more serious would happen.
“ I'm still trying to process what happened. The trip back to Portugal has become one of the scariest trips of my life. We caught an unexpected storm and after several failed landing attempts, the plane was eventually diverted to Girona. There was a moment when I truly felt that there might not be a happy outcome. I thought: ‘This is it.’“, he began by reporting.
“The atmosphere inside the plane was of genuine panic. Many people cried, others prayed, and fear was visible on all faces. It was minutes that seemed like forever. Right now I'm in Barcelona, where we're gonna have to spend the night. Only tomorrow will we be able to catch a new flight to Portugal”Zulmira Garrido confessed.
