Sand you grew up with your parents telling you stories before you went to bed, you'd probably keep these memories fondly and maybe even wish you could someday do that to your children.
The company responsible for Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp – Meta – however, thinks that you may need help if you don't have a lot of imagination and apparently is developing an application that, using Artificial Intelligence, is capable of generating bedtime stories.
The news is being advanced by site 9to5mac, who claims to have seen the app – the name StoryKit – in the App Store. Apparently, the app will be able to generate stories with characters, scenarios, music and even morals in a personalized way. “You don’t have to write a single word”, can be read in the description of the app.
According to the description of the app, the user must start by selecting a character by capturing “a photograph of a favorite person or toy to give him life”. Then is described the world in which history takes place, also choosing a moral for the end that “incorporate values such as kindness, courage or empathy”.
Faced by techCrunch site, a spokesman for Meta confirmed that the company is in fact testing StoryKit in certain countries in order to ascertain the interest of parents. It is not yet clear when (or if) this app will be launched in more markets
The app was described by this representative of the technological giant as a creative storytelling tool, indicating that artificial intelligence filters are integrated that prevent inappropriate minor themes from being included. Moreover, the app will not have any features that allow it to be used as a social network.
