Ruben Amorim made several compliments on Sunday afternoon to the players of AC Milan, highlighting his stance in the victory obtained in the visit to Genoa, where i'd end up winning (2-1), playing the 11th Serie A journey. In statements to DAZN, the Portuguese technician asked the squad to maintain the same attitude in the games of the Europa League, competition in which Milan already accumulates three losses in only four games.

“ I'm very proud of the team today and the way they played the game well. The important thing is that we're always competitive. With this attitude, we can win any game. The important thing is to be versatile”, he started by saying Amorim.

“ We have to think game by game. This team can win any game, but it is not yet solid enough to look ahead and set more ambitious goals. Right now, we have a lot of outsiders. When we recover them, we can become even more competitive in the two competitions ", took over.

Ruben Amorim recalled that for this, it is necessary to have a “mentality” based on “win all games”.

“ You cannot enter the field as we did on Thursday, in the Europe League”, he warned.

Asked about the fact that Gonçalo Ramos is still on his back with the goals – three attempts in 14 games by AC Milan –, Ruben Amorim dismissed the compatriot's responsibilities, stressing that it is a team problem.

“ We don't spend enough time in that area of the land to help. Ramos getting more balls. The problem is not Ramos, it is the team, who cannot get the ball more often to this area, where it can be decisive ", explained.

“Arbitration? I won’t comment, but you have eyes...”

In a press conference, Ruben Amorim was challenged to comment on the referee's work. In his style, the Portuguese technician refused to comment, leaving the evaluation of arbitration in the hands of journalists.

“ I'm not going to comment, because talking about the referees is not something that can help my team. You have eyes, you have television channels, you've seen the game... You can draw your own conclusions,” he said.

About the fact that Milan was always able to respond after a defeat, not accumulating consecutive outbursts, Amorim said that the team is still evolving and that much has changed in the tactical dynamics.

“What I feel is that when we’re competitive, we’re hard to beat and, right now, we’re managing to guide games to our style. We're looking for control through possession of the ball. When we can't be competitive, we're completely adrift. It’s a big difference, but it’s something we have to work on,” he argued.

“ But again, the team's evolution and the way we're playing are completely different from what happened at the beginning of the season, and that makes me happy. We should have more points. It is clear that I am not at all satisfied with the game in the Europe League, not only for the result, but also for the exhibition. The results may happen, but the exhibitions are far from what we want. Still, I believe that in the future, we will be a better team ", finished Ruben Amorim.
