Dbecause SpaceX made history with its scholarship entry in May, says the The Wall Street Journal it seems that Anthropic intends to overcome the expectations of investors and analysts.
According to the publication, Anthropic intends to inform investors that the company's revenue opportunities exceed $30 billion – more than SpaceX's estimated $28.5 billion.
It should be noted that this figure does not concern the profit or revenue Anthropic expects to have in the next few years. The 30 billion dollars quoted by Wall Street Journal sources relate to an estimate of the total opportunities available to the company in the Artificial Intelligence market.
The AI company responsible for Claude believes that in 2028 he will have a revenue of between the 190 and 200 billion dollars, with analysts believing that this parameter will be crucial to deciding Anthropic's assessment at the stock exchange entry.
We still don't know when Anthropic will complete her scholarship. The necessary documents must be presented in the coming weeks, which means that between the end of September and the beginning of October the Artificial Intelligence company may become an open-ended company.
Anthropic stock exchange entry can set SpaceX record
The stock exchange entry of the U.S. artificial intelligence (IA) company Anthropic, a major rival of OpenAI in San Francisco, may break the record set by SpaceX, today the U.S. media have advanced.
Elon Musk's aerospace group has held since June the record of the largest initial public offer in history, with US$ 85.7 billion (EUR 79.5 billion) in investment and reaching an estimated US$ 1.77 billion (EUR 1.64 billion), values that Anthropic "expects to equal or overcome", reported Bloomberg.
According to the New York Times, the company’s banks talked to investors about a capture of “over 100 billion dollars (EUR 92.7 billion)” and a valuation of close to $2 billion (EUR 1.85 billion).
Such capitalisation, twice that achieved in May 965 billion dollars (895 billion euros), would put the company founded only five years ago on a level surpassed only by giants like Nvidia, Apple or Microsoft.
After a confidential deposit in June, Anthropic will be able to publish the documentation for the listing “in the coming weeks”, before a scholarship entry scheduled for autumn. Thus, it would surpass OpenAI, creator of ChatGPT, which postponed its quotation to 2027.
Founded in 2021 by former OpenAI employees, including brothers Dario and Daniela Amodei, startup stood out for prioritizing tools for programmers, such as assistant Claude Code, dominating the currently most profitable segment of the AI.
In the second quarter of this year, the company's sales more than doubled to USD 11.6 billion (EUR 10.7 billion), surpassing for the first time those of OpenAI (US$6.7 billion/6.2 billion).
However, the company remains heavily loss-making, with net losses of USD 42 billion (EUR 38.9 billion) in 2025, five times more than in the previous year due to massive investments in talent and data centres with millions of AI chips.
Anthropic’s high prices face pressure from Chinese free-access models, much cheaper, with OpenAI itself announcing a more than 20% reduction in the tariffs of its most powerful model, valid for three months.
Another risk for future shareholders is the tense relations with the administration of the American President, Donald Trump, who in March broke all contracts with the company, who refused to allow the Pentagon to use its models for mass surveillance or lethal autonomous weapons. The litigation is still ongoing in court.
