Pierce Brosnan decided to sell his $100 million mansion (about 86 million euros) in Malibu, California. The motive? The various fires that hit the area.
The property is inhabited by the artist and woman, journalist and director Keely Shaye Brosnan, 26 years ago. The famous “007” revealed the decision in a newly published interview in The Times.
The Malibu area has been one of the main outbreaks of fires that have hit California in recent years. There are also geological problems.
The mansion of actor Nicolas Cage, for example, saw his mansion partially swallowed by a crater.
“ We've been spared by the fires a few times, but I think it's time to leave. Everything changes, everything falls apart...”, he explained.
“ We live on the edge of this mass of water on Earth, on a geological failure, in an earthquake region. It breeds fear. I think we're both relatively inmate. It's a long way from town. We have a little circle of friends here, but people get divorced, die, move on. And we continue here”, explained to the publication.
It is recalled that in the January 2025 fires, famous as Jeff Bridges, Mel Gibson and Paris Hilton lost their homes in the region.
Pierce Brosnan and Keely Shaye Brosnan have been married since 2001 and have two children in common: Dylan Brosnan and Paris Brosnan. In addition to his two sons from Keely's marriage, Pierce Brosnan is also the father of Sean Brosnan and Chris Brosnan, the result of his marriage to Australian actress Cassandra Harris.
