Oenergy peaks are among the greatest threats to electronic devices and, with the increasing amount of equipment constantly connected in our homes, it is clear that this is an unwanted situation for anyone.
However, even if a power surge cannot be properly controlled, there are preventive measures that you can take to ensure that your computers, game consoles, gadgets and other electronic devices are protected and will not be damaged.
For example, it is important to turn off computers or remove some equipment from the socket in the event of a storm – one of the few situations where there are signs that something may go wrong.
Below you can find a short list of preventive measures that you can take to prevent your electronic devices from damaging themselves following a power surge.
How to protect electronic power surge devices:
- In the event of a storm, disconnect and disconnect the electronic devices from the outlet;
- Keep a backup of your data so that the process is not interrupted when least you expect;
- Buy extensions or plug adapters that have power surge protection;
- Consider acquiring an Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) that will allow your electronic devices to continue to function;
- If you have several electronic devices in your home that do not want to run the risk of not working, we recommend that you purchase multiple UPS devices.
