Tpersistent osse and constipation end up being some of the initial asthma symptoms that many people end up confusing. The truth is that they are very identical signs, but with distinct consequences. Understand what is at stake and what must be attentive.
Pulmonologist Sunil Kumar K revealed to the website Only My Health some of the asthma symptoms that many people confuse with other health problems.
Asthma: Symptoms that many confuse
“ From a health point of view, one of the first signs is a persistent cough, especially at night, early morning or after physical exercise. Many people assume it is due to a common cold, seasonal allergies, reflux or a prolonged respiratory infection,” he says.

It also reveals that tightness in the chest, shortness of breath, feeling tired during some type of physical activity and coughing while laughing, climbing stairs or when exposed to smoke, dust and strong fragrances are other signs to which you should be attentive.
“These symptoms can come and go, which makes it easier to be ignored” continues the expert. In this way, it is important to be attentive to these changes to start being medicated and monitored immediately and not to let the situation drag on.
“ Ignoring these warning signs may allow airway inflammation to progress, increasing the risk of severe asthma attacks over time. Anyone who has recurrent cough or difficulty breathing should seek medical evaluation instead of self-medication.”
The importance of early diagnosis
By not ignoring the signs you can quickly detect the disease, which is quite important. “To detect asthma early does not require expensive interventions or access to specialists. What it requires is a change in the way patients, families and doctors understand what a persistent cough or recurrent shortness of breath means, because the disease is already present, is already progressing and is fully controllable if it is treated at the right time.”
Pneumologist alerts to asthma symptoms that many ignore
Parade magazine, pulmonologist Raj Dasgupta warned of a symptom of this disease that many people end up ignoring. It's a persistent cough.
“ This cough usually gets worse at night or when you're exercising. Symptoms can vary a lot from person to person. Sometimes it gets worse when you're near smoke, dust or pet hair environments“, continue.
Dry cough is one of the symptoms, but many people end up confusing it with some kind of allergy or cold.
“ If you notice that you are coughing frequently, particularly at night or during physical activity, especially when it is cold, it can be a sign of asthma”, continues. “Many people ignore it once they assume it's just a common cough, but it can really signal an inflammation in the airways.”
“ Many people assume that they are trying too hard, that they are lazy or just getting old”, continues the expert.
