Aisrael’s Defence Forces (IDF) today claimed an attack on “military agents” in Gaza, which killed one and two seriously injured, according to the emergency services of the Palestinian enclave, controlled by the Hamas Islamist movement.
The victims of the attack, with a missile fired by an Israeli drone in the Al-Shati area west of Gaza City, were taken to the Al-Shifa Medical Complex, according to the Ambulance and Emergency Services of the enclave.
Asked by the EFE, the Israeli Army claimed to have attacked “three military agents” in the region, without giving further details about their identities or what organization they supposedly belonged to.
The Israeli Army and Shin Bet (internal intelligence services) today claimed to have shot down six fighters from Hamas, Islamic Jihad and Islamian Army in three separate bombings in the Gaza Strip.
In two attacks carried out on Monday in the Khan Younis area, Israeli forces killed Mahmud Jihad Mohamed Qafa, who described as the head of a cell of snipers from Hamas' armed arm, the Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades, and Asaad Suleiman Salman Qashta, a member of the Islam Army group that, according to Israel, facilitated smuggling into the Gaza Strip, according to a joint statement.
In another Sunday bombing, also in Khan Younis, four other fighters died, according to the statement: Mohamed Zakaria al-Yamal, head of a cell of the al-Qassam Brigades, Mohamed Amín al-Namas, member of the same armed arm, Shaher Mohamed Zaarab, commander of a company of Hamas' Nukhba elite unit, and Mohamed Ali Abu Shaar, sniper of Islamic Jihad.
According to the Army and Shin Bet, the six “promoted terrorist plans against Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) soldiers and Israeli civilians” and worked to restore the capabilities of their respective organizations, “systematically violating the ceasefire.”.
Hospital sources in the region today attributed to the Israeli Army the death of four Palestinians.
Despite the ceasefire in force more than a year ago, Israel is carrying out daily attacks in Gaza that result in deaths.
In some cases, it uses drones against specific targets, alleged members of the Palestinian Islamist Hamas movement, but actions often end up killing civilians, including women and children.
In other situations, the attacks hit Palestinians near the so-called ‘yellow line’, where Israeli troops are positioned.
Since the beginning of the ceasefire, on 10 October 2025, 1,600 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks and shootings in the enclave, and at least 1.8 million people remain displaced, most in tents near the Mediterranean Sea, where they will face their fourth winter.
Since October 7, 2023 – the day when he launched a war in the Gaza Strip in retaliation for the earlier attack on Israeli territory by Hamas fighters and other militias, which caused about 1,200 deaths and 251 hostages – Israel killed more than 74,600 inhabitants of that territory, according to the local Ministry of Health, which does not distinguish between civilian victims and combatants.
