National Selection
ANDm Istanbul, in front of the Amedspor (4-3), of the 11th day of the Turkish championship, Leo had to be replaced by Deniz Gul, former FC Porto, at 50 minutes, due to pain in the right leg. The 27-year-old advanced started this match and even scored Galatasaray's first goal.
Leo, who has 51 games and six goals by the national team, is thus in doubt for the next stage of Portugal, which starts on Monday in the City of Football, in Oeiras, still in time to disclose.
The advance is part of the list of 28 summoned by the selector Jorge Jesus, the first after Cristiano Ronaldo announced on Thursday the abandonment of the Portuguese selection.
Portugal faces Denmark in Braga on 14 November and Wales in Cardiff on 17 at the close of Group A4, with the selection of the ‘quinas’ already cleared for the final rooms and close to ensuring the first place of the ‘poule’.
Portugal leads 12 points, followed by Denmark with six points, while Wales and Norway with three points, and the fight for the second wave of qualification is open.
