Herzog chooses Eisenkot to form government. Netanyahu asks

Israeli President Isaac Herzog chose Gadi Eisenkot to form a new government after the opposition leader had gathered the support of 67 deputies. The current Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, warned that “Israel will not survive” and asked for “national union”.

The leader of the Israeli opposition bloc, Gadi Eisenkot, asked the President, Isaac Herzog, to instruct him to form a government on Sunday to put an end to Netanyahu’s “threat”.
