The assets in the Russian Federation of Swiss Nestlé, French Auchan and Leroy Merlin, renamed Lemana Pro in 2024 in this country, were transferred to the same Russian society, according to a decree of Vladimir Putin published today.

The Russian branch of another agro-food conglomerate, Danone, had been appropriated by the Russian state in 2023 and then resold to a nephew of Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov.
